Vintage Factory Used Doll Toy Mold

 

This is an original vintage mold that was previously used in a factory to produce toy dolls. The doll is made of metal (possibly copper or a blend of metals including copper and is attached to a steel mounting bracket "cage". The bracket measures approximately 8.75" tall, 7" wide and 6" across. The mold is in very good condition with wear from years of industrial use.  The bracket is covered with surface rust, but is solid with no rust thru. We have several other vintage toy molds which will be added to the site soon.

1939 Richfield Oil Advertising Banner  

 

This is a great advertising banner from a contest held by Richfield Oil and Photocrime Magazine where the prizes were a 1939 Pontiac or a Silver Fox Coat. The banner is printed on canvas and measures just under 3' x 5'. The banner is in great condition with light soiling on the backside that is not visible from the front. By the way in 1939 the price of a new Pontiac began at $750.

1960's Jarts Set - World's Most Dangerous Toy? 

 

Jarts or Lawn Darts have gained a reputation for being the most dangerous toy ever produced. Jarts were taken off the market in the 1970's but made a brief comeback during the 1980's until the Consumer Product Safety Commission banned them for good in 1988. While they can cause injury if misused, Jarts are safe if used with proper adult supervision as the cool illustration on the inside lid of the box shows. This rare set is complete with four darts, two rings and a pair of replacement dart fins.  Pick up this set in time for summer fun...but watch your kids!
