Breinig Brothers Paint Metal Litho Sign 

 

The Breinig Brothers Paint Company roots date back to the early years of the 20th century. This tin lithograph sign measures 35" x 23" and is in good overall condition with some surface rust, scuffs, scratches and wear to the painted surface. The piece has a few old nail holes along the edges.  Please ingore the white spots shown in a few of the photos to the left...these are caused by the glare of lights in the shop and are not flaws on the sign.

Prairie Dog Taxidermy Mount

 

This is an older taxidermy mount with two prairie dogs posed in front of the entrance to their burrow. One of these cute fellows is holding a nut in his paws. The base measures approximately 20" in length by 14.5" and the standing dog is about 10" tall.  We see a good amount of taxidermy come thru the store, but this is the first time we've had a prairie dog...let alone a pair!

1935 Popeye Puppet King Features

 

This Popeye puppet is made of composition & wood material and measures approximately 14" tall. He is marked Popeye 1935 King Features Syn. on his neck. He shows plenty of wear and "patina" including flaking and paint loss to his face. Popeye still retains his original wood pipe which is very hard to find. This vintage toy is extremely rare even in this less than perfect condition. He would probably benefit from being restrung so his parts would be tighter, but that would be up to the new owner to decide if this is necessary.
